Hey, I'll be getting SC2 when i t comes out so I thought I might as well get involved in the SC2 Heaven. Though this doesn't seem to be very active :/
Anyways, I've always like the Zerg so I'll be playing them. "Rot's given a free pass simply because he's Rot." - theferret

Since I have not played SC, I shall choose the race whose units and buildings look the coolest.
Thus, Protoss. Hey girl from over here your butt looks soft, maybe if I could touch it I could tell if it's soft. Tell me if it's soft cos I'd really like to touch it, and then I'll show you my penis. Hey pretty girl, did ya go to college, did you get your BA, with all that knowledge? I like your boobies in your shirt, please let me show you my penis.

Nice to see you from the AOE3 boards, Droideka. All Terran here. My first love in the original Starcraft was pounding the crap out of my enemies with siege tanks and nukes. That kind of stuff NEVER gets old.
I'll play Zerg and Protoss as well, to be sure, by Terrans will remain my favorite, I expect.

Most likely terran or protoss because i like to micromanage my units instead of sending mass swarms. <O><O><O><O><O><O><O><O>All my maps here<O><O><O><O><O><O><O><O>

I hated those seige tanks With a good amount I could never even get close to them with zerglings. I hear ya, they can be a pain early on, but later there's plenty of tricks you could use to neutralize the tank. Dark Swarm and Spawn Broodling being two of my favorites.
Where Zerg really got screwed in Brood War was with Science Vessels and Medics. Irradiate just is a nightmare as a zerg player, and Medics keep curing all those parasites you took such trouble to add.
You never really get any strong counters to Science Vessels, and medics are so cheap as to be barely worth the mana to Broodling.

Even so, i still usually get owned by zerg players early game when i play terran. The lurker drop off technique is especially annoying and is practically impossible to stop without a science vessel. <O><O><O><O><O><O><O><O>All my maps here<O><O><O><O><O><O><O><O>

Those Medics and Science Vessels were anoying as well. Though what I liked the most from Brood War were the Lurkers. Favorite unit by far, you just burrown them and watch them destroy enemy ground units.
I never actually played online though. Only single player for me "Rot's given a free pass simply because he's Rot." - theferret

Probably Protoss since I believe them to have a natural advantage with their powerful units which makes them easier to micromanage.
I also consider Protoss to be clearly more powerful then Terran or Zerg in BroodWar so that's my take.

I also consider Protoss to be clearly more powerful then Terran or Zerg in BroodWar so that's my take. If you're looking at stand up brute strength, yeah, it can seem that way, however I find both Zerg and Terran forces to be much more synergistic than Protoss. Protoss units are tough, and concentrate a lot of firepower into a few units, however, they don't really support each other nearly as well as the Zerg or Protoss. Fast zealots, ungainly guardians, SLOW reavers, without good coordination everyone risks showing up to the part in separate waves, and getting taken down piecemeal.
Zealots are expensive for cannon fodder, but in the mid to late game, that's pretty much all they're used for, someone to tie up the enemy in melee so you can bring your heavy weapons (Templars, Reavers) to bear.
Which is not to say that Protoss are weak, far from it, they're just an army that requires a good mix of finesse and brute force to win.

Zerg!
I really enjoyed infesting the terran bases (though never really used that living bombs). Only use singleplayer, so no idea how good they are against human players.
